Last week saw me head to Upton House, a beautiful estate in Warwickshire for a couple of days of competition with CHARLES RR and super sub NANKIN DES RUETTES competing in the Intermediate while MISTER BALLINVELLA (owned by Mrs Jo Reynolds) contested the BE90 Open.
CHARLES RR jumped a beautiful DOUBLE CLEAR after a super relaxed dressage to finish 6th in the Open Intermediate. I was so happy with how chilled he was, it was like riding a different horse!
Last minute super sub Super Nonks (NANKIN DES RUETTES) also jumped a DOUBLE CLEAR with no preparation after his holiday. He is just awesome and my bestest buddy!
Unfortunately Lawa is feeling sorry for himself with a fat knee at home after our small mishap at Tweseldown, now rerouted to Aston le Walls in the Intermediate in 10 days time!
I Loved the new Intermediate course at Upton even if it was on the slightly small and straightforward side, but really fun to ride and beautifully built.
MISTER BALLINVELLA finished on his dressage score of 27.3 after also jumping DOUBLE CLEAR to 5th place in the BE90 Open.
