A busy weekend, starting with LAWA in KBIS CICYH** 7 year old Championships at Osberton International and finishing with NANKIN DES RUETTES and CHARLES RR in the Advanced at Little Downham Horse Trials.
LAWA (Torres) completed his first 2* in the CICYH** 7yo Championships at Osberton International, having only done two Intermediates before going, and he was very grown up! A little bit of greenness showed in all three phases, but he also showed a huge amount of potential. He has learnt so much this season. I can’t believe it was just 2 years ago that we wobbled round his first BE80!
NANKIN DES RUETTES (Nonks) and CHARLES RR (Charlie) both jumped double clear in the Advanced at Little Downham to finish their seasons! I’m really thrilled with them both; they have not had a single jumping fault in four Advanced runs this year!
Nonks did a beautiful test to score 30 leaving him amongst some top horses at the end of dressage. Charlie tried really hard in his test for 39; his flying changes are not established enough to do in a test yet so we decided to trot them, which proved very expensive!
The three boys will now have a very well deserved holiday; Nonks is already hard at work on his thelwell look!
