7yo LAWA had a learning day in his second intermediate on Friday. He did a nice test with some lovely bits and some wobbles; he finds a short arena a little small to show off in at the moment! One pole down showjumping, but he jumped the best he ever has after an early mistake, and a steady clear XC. He has lots of lovely scope that just needs refining! Osberton International for the 7yo Championships is next… His first 2*… ekkk!
CHARLES RR and NANKIN DES RUETTES both did awesome speedy double clears in the huge CIC** to finish 13th and 16th!
Charlie was very rideable in his test, so much so I was brave enough to show him off a little! This did mean there were a couple of muddles but his quality of work is becoming very smart in an arena now. A huge about of enthusiasm XC meant we were a little slower than planned, but only because he is so desperate to get through the flags! Showjumping he just pinged, with PLENTY of energy left!!! Mr Reliable Super Nonks did his usual lovely test and skipped round the jumping like the total pro he is! He was just amazing! Little Downham Advanced next for them both.
I am so lucky to have such totally awesome horses, we had a lot of fun XC this weekend!
