Happy New Year

The horses have enjoyed well deserved holidays out in groups in big fields with their shoes off. They have got very fat and fluffy, but most importantly had a complete break physically and mentally from training. Now back in work, they will gradually increase walk work and some flatwork, before some more serious flatwork and jumping starts again in February… Neck straps at the ready!

Through the quieter months some winter jobs have been done. Huge thank you to Super Groom Lewis who has painted all the old and new poles, they look amazing. We also had a surface top up and maintance courtesy of Dad and my brother, and my new Jump4Joy fillers have arrived.

Having always wanted to go, this winter I spent some time travelling round NZ. I had the BEST time, what a beautiful country! Thank you to Mum, Lewis and Barb for looking after the horses while I was away. It was lovely to be home in time for Christmas to see family, friends and the ponies.

Alongside getting the horses ready for the upcoming season I have been back teaching. Everyone has been working hard over the last few months with lots of improvements. I am looking forward to the first of my 4 pre-season training clinics this Saturday
